There is a saying, "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today is a gift, that is why it is called the present."

I do not agree with that. Yesterday may be gone but the pain or joy that you experienced still lingers on. Tomorrow may be a mystery but only partially. People can makes things the way they want them to be, they have the power to dictate what happens. Today is a gift if you make it that way but most of the time, it's just another twenty-four hours that pass by. 

Nuwe Denke:

• Others can only dictate who you are if you let them.
• There are no such things as days. Life is a continuous time stream only defined and recognizable by moments and memories that occur.
• Many people are more similar than they realize. What your opinions are based on is only what they choose to unveil. 
• Everything is mental. Pain, sickness, emotions, feelings. 
• Events from your past dictate your future whether you want them to or not.
• I don't believe you should love someone you're related simply because they're "family". Family is a controversial concept. What does it actually mean, people that are related by blood and marriage, have similar genes? No. Family is something much more than that. They're people that make you feel loved every day and have a deep consideration for you. They're what you should feel relieved to come home to after a hard time. You can't automatically love someone just because you're supposed to. I think that is ridiculous. Should someone love their mom or dad after getting beaten by them every night or not getting the care they need. They deserve to love someone that will love them as well.
• Love is just an emoitional attachment. 
• People try so hard to define things, why. Just let them be what they are. 
• Everyone is going to hurt you.
• Happiness isn't a contant state. It's little bursts of joy that occur periodically. 
• Happiness is not a matter on events, it depends upon tides of the mind.\
• "Nothing gold can stay". No good thing can last forever. That delicious lolly pop you're sucking on will eventually dissolve. Your ice cream will melt. Your husband or wife will die someday. Something will always come up. But maybe something else will come along.
• We don't always know what we're feeling. How can one know if they're feeling sadness or anger or happiness, excitement or joy. 
• Kindness to all. Love to whom deserves it. Trust doesn't exist. 
• There is no God. Life doesn't need explanation. 
• Religions were just evolved from beliefs. They're like languages. All derived from one but there are now so many.
